Universe uses Google G-Suite APIs to connect to your organisation's G-Suite. Therefore you need to make sure that couple of settings are enabled in your G-Suite domain and your admin account has the needed permission levels to start Universe installation.

Check API access

First you need to make sure API access is enabled in your G-Suite domain. To do this, open you G-Suite admin panel (admin.google.com) and navigate to Security. From here open API Reference and make sure Enable API access is checked.

Admin permissions

Universe uses the first admin account to initiate the installation. This means that you need to make sure your admin account has the necessary permissions for the installation. We recommend using a super admin account for this, but you may also want to use a lower level admin. In this case, please make sure that the admin has the following privileges:

  • Organization Units
  • Users
  • Groups

Please check these permissions from the Admin API privileges section.
